Acroplis in Athens

In fact, there are several acropolises in the country, but the most well-known is located in the capital of the country, Athens.

Acropolis is today one of the country’s biggest tourist attractions, and can only be visited on foot – and if you are in the capital, this attraction is hard to get around.

Plaka

Being close to the Acropolis is like travelling back in time, and what you can visit which is nearby too, is “Plaka”. This is a old Greek town, with narrow streets and a maze-like street. If you will visit this place, you can get the experience of how ancient Greece was.

What you also can find in Athens, are several museums, which contains archeology or art and helps provide people to get an insight into the history of the city and the country.
