Now when you arrived and you are about to enter the airport, you just need to follow the signs that lead you to the “Immigration/Baggage claim”.

In case you are transferring, follow the signs to “Transfer”.

Free wi-fi

Enjoy the free wireless internet at the airport in Doha! Just search for “Free internet by HIA” on your mobile device, tablet or computer from anywhere inside the passenger terminal.

Telephone booths

You can call anywhere in the world by purchasing a prepaid calling card from Qatar Duty Free, in case you may not have a mobile phone with you under your travel – or in case it went out of battery.
The telephone booths are located throughout the passenger terminal.

What to expect when you go through the immigration and the security?

When you come to the Immigration and Security, you need to expect around 35 minutes to go through. Most of the times there are long lines waiting in front of you, but sometimes you can be lucky to go through faster.
In case that you are a holder of an e-Gate, you can go smooth through within 1 minute.

If any problems arise through the Immigration and Security, and you are denied to enter Qatar, the Ministry of Interior and your airline will provide you guidance and assistance.

NEXT STEP: COLLECT YOUR BAGS, GET READY FOR CUSTOMS!

After you went through the immigration and security successfully, it’s time to claim your bag(s)!

You can collect a baggage trolley, which is provided free of charge throughout the baggage claim area.

It takes approximately 10 minutes for the bags to be available, to pick them up.

Do you need a porter?
If you need help with your baggage, porters are available for a fee of QAR 20 (USD 6) per porter.

Are you collecting oversize baggage or animals?

Oversized baggage is delivered via special conveyors in the baggage claim area, located between Belts 7 and 8.
If you’re travelling with animals, then an airline representative will deliver these to you in person at the baggage claim area.

Didn’t your bag(s) arrive?

In worst case – if your baggage is lost or if it arrives in a damaged condition, please contact an airline representative at the nearest information desk for assistance!

Choose the correct Customs channel:
Select the Green Channel, if you have “Nothing to declare”, or the Red Channel if you have “Something to declare”.

ENJOY the DUTY-FREE SHOPPING

There are some Duty-free-shops located in the baggage claim area, which is so practical and just perfect in case you have a last-minute-shopping!

NEED A LOCAL SIMCARD?

If you need a local SIM card, you can buy it from the Qatar Duty Free stores, which are in the arrivals meet-and greet hall.

HOW TO FIND AROUND IN QATAR?

Buy a map over Qatar! You can purchase maps and guidebooks from Qatar Duty Free stores inside the baggage claim area.

ATM’S AND EXCHANGE

There are two ATMs located at the Bus Pavilion outside the Arrivals hall (Level 0).

You can also find four Travelex branches located across the passenger terminal, offering currency conversion and money transfer services.

ENJOY SNACKS AND DRINKS

Cafés and vending machines offering quick snacks and hot/cold beverages are located inside the baggage claim area. There is also a food court in the Departures hall on the level above you.

ARRANGE YOUR ONWARD TRAVEL (By taxi or limousine)

Taxis are available from the Taxi Pavilion just outside the Arrivals hall; starting fare is QAR 25 (USD 7).

Chauffeur-driven limousines are also available.

YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CAR?

Long-Term car park facility is located on the southern end of the passenger terminal (map). It offers covered and secured parking for up to 60 days with complementary shuttle service to the terminal every 15- 20minutes.

Short-term car parks are located on either side of the passenger terminal (map). It offers covered and secured parking for up to 15 days with easy access to the terminal building via dedicated walk ways. Find out more

USING THE HOTEL SHUFFLE BUS?

If your hotel has arranged shuttle transport, then a hotel representative will meet you on arrival or you can visit the hotel service desk yourself.
