Sleek cars have a way of captivating the heart by the first enticement of the eyes, every good thing on earth is easily identified well even, at first sight, Chevrolet Impala 2018 is indeed one of the good things it cannot be easily looked away even by people who are not freak of cars. Impala is that full-size salon car fashioned to help one drive to the top; it is sophisticated enhanced for safety and performance throughout and gracefully spacious on the inside.

The Chevrolet Impala has no substitute for Safety or driver assistance features, the driver needs his alertness and responsibly conscious while behind the wheel. With very few improvements on the previous year’s model, the Impala continues to showcase its famous three trim levels: LS, LT, and Premier.

Interior Pros

The Chevrolet Impala has a beautiful appearance and couldn’t have gotten a more sophisticated interior than it has; the car has a clean leather seat for comfort and convenience, with a premium seat for five persons, it’s an upholstery anyone will love to get invited to sit upon.

The car has 10 airbags, comes with a Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, a high-resolution colored Driver Information Center. It’s also equipped with Chevrolet My Link Radio with 8-inch diagonal touch-screen and Apple Car Play compatibility and 3-month trial of SiriusXM Satellite Radio. A rear vision camera remains present.

The Bluetooth audio streaming is great; it also has Three USB ports, with OnStar 4G LTE Guidance Plan standard for 3 months and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for up to seven devices.

Premium Clothing or leather seats with 60/40 split-folding rear seat, the seat is an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat. It has a front bucket seat, premium floor mats for all weather; it comes with a trunk organizer and a remote start key. A cargo net and a cargo area all-weather floor mats is also available to grace the interior plus a first aid safety kit. The LT and premier models have Dual-zone automatic climate control for driver and passenger available as a standard feature with Wireless Charging.

Interior cons

Sincerely there is no way a technological manufacture element can come with a hundred percent perfection, there will always be few thing to be considered as cons, if not more than few.

With regards to Chevrolet Impala, the car has ten airbags while passengers are considered to be just five, what is the need for a double airbag for each passenger, is it all about safety?

With the Three USB ports, it means two of the passengers are likely to be left out from having access to this USB ports.

Exterior

Chevrolet Impala remains likely unchanged with its previous edition, the 18 inches steel with fascia-spoke wheel covers remains standard with an engine block heater, an 18″ 10-spoke chrome finish aluminum wheels, 18-inch 5-split-spoke machined-face with painted pockets aluminum wheels and a 19-inch 5-split-spoke aluminum wheels are the features available on the sleek sedan that’s aside its rear spoiler, front and rear splash guard, Chrome mirror caps and Front license plate bracket.

Engine

All Chevy products are known for Efficiency and performance, it comes as standard in all their cars, The Impala is not exempted, it only gets interesting with the technologies of Direct Injection and stop/ starts technology.

The two available engines are the 3.6L V6 engine and 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, the former has 305 horsepower, a direct Injection, variable valve timing and  EPA-estimate of 18 MPG city/28 highway while the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine

Has an EPA-estimated 22 MPG city/30 highway, it comes with a Stop/start technology which shuts down the engine in certain driving conditions to reduce fuel usage. The standard features include Brake lining, high-performance, noise and dust performance with FNC rotors, a 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, ECOTEC 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder DI engine,  MacPherson-strut front suspension, a 4-link rear suspension, Front wheel drive and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy

To be sincere the mpg is reasonable for this kind of car, considering how thirsty other cars in this class gulp fuel at the prompt of pressing the accelerator pedal.

Summary

The Chevrolet Impala is a great cruising vehicle with a front-wheel-drive system, unlike some other cars, this is not available in all wheel drive yet this helps rides smoothly even on rough roads, with a seaming general quiet ride. It seems less agile than few other cars in the same class, yet its sharp steering helps the Impala maintain composure on winding roads and to relatively maneuverable in tight areas. Unlike some competitors, the Impala isn’t available with all-wheel drive.

The 2018 Chevrolet Impala may not be seen as the most athletic or perfect large car, but it provides composed handling and offer a powerful V6 engine option. The base engine feels under-used at times, but it does get better gas mileage than nearly every competitor. Over most road surfaces, the Impala delivers a quiet, comfortable ride.

The Front airbags in Chevrolet Impala work with the safety seat belt system, this is just to curb or reduce the risk of injury to either the driver or front passenger, the lower airbags protect the knee from damage that may arise from moderate to severe frontal impact.
